A chat with the new Spanish talent and his team manager Davide Brivio in Suzuki
The MotoGP season has been over for a little over a month, but already keenly awaiting the World Cup in 2015.
Marc Márquez has still only 21 years old and next year will go on the hunt for the third title, but there will be at his side, in addition to the usual suspects, including a number of new recruits ready to debut in MotoGP upset even more things .

Maverick Viñales: If (Suzuki) have decided to come back, it's because the team's passion for MotoGP, and also the belief that they can win. I think what is happening is wonderful for me. DB: I think it's a very motivated rider, loves to run and always wants to win. MV: When I see myself on TV, I notice that my driving style is modern. Brake very late, and I can turn the bike well, cornering can pull it up pretty quickly, and I think that this will work well in MotoGP. I will do my best to understand as quickly as possible to the new bike and do I need to sfuttarne the best characteristics to be able to improve quickly.
I believe that quality is another of my own to be able to figure out pretty quickly that I drive motorcycles.
The Impatience is a virtue
MV: I think the worst thing I can do in MotoGP debut is expected to be competitive from day one. If we can take one step at a time, staying calm and focused, we can really start well the project
DB: We like everything about him, his attitude, his never being satisfied. If he came in second is not happy. La stagione della MotoGP è finita da poco più di un mese, ma già cresce l’attesa per il Mondiale 2015.
Marc Márquez ha ancora solo 21 anni e l’anno prossimo andrà a caccia del terzo titolo, ma al suo fianco ci saranno, oltre ai soliti noti, anche una serie di nuove reclute pronte all’esordio in MotoGP per scombussolare ancora di più le cose.
Uno dei più attesi è Maverick Viñales. Il pilota spagnolo è stato campione del mondo in Moto3 nel 2013, e l’anno scorso si è messo ampiamente in luce nella stagione di debutto in Moto2. I suoi rapidi progressi hanno catturato l’attenzione della Suzuki, pronta a rientrare nel Mondiale dopo 3 anni di assenza, e la loro partnership sarà una della attrazioni principali del 2015.
Abbiamo quindi incontrato Viñales e il suo nuovo team manager Davide Brivio (figura centrale già nella carriera e nella crescita di Valentino Rossi) per sentire da loro cosa si aspettano.
Maverick sulla Suzuki: un’opportunità
Davide Brivio: "Abbiamo pensato che Maverick fosse un grande talento e che sarebbe stato ottimo averlo con noi in Suzuki. Maverick è stata di fatto la nostra unica opzione, non si trattava di scegliere tra lui e qualcun altro. Pensiamo di avere una grande opportunità con Maverick, perché crediamo sia davvero uno dei piloti più talentuosi oggi in circolazione, e che sia già pronto per la MotoGP. Ora la pressione è su di noi, perché dobbiamo dargli una moto all’altezza".
Maverick Viñales: Se (in Suzuki) hanno deciso di tornare, è perché nel team c’è grande passione per la MotoGP, e anche la convinzione di poter vincere. Credo che quanto sta accadendo sia meraviglioso, per me. Il mio primo sogno, da piccolo, era correre nel Mondiale 125, e vincere il titolo. Poi ho iniziato a sognare anche altro. Di base comunque,
ho sognato di correre in MotoGP per tutta la vita, e ora il sogno si sta per realizzare.cosa potrà portare Maverick in MotoGP?
DB: Credo sia una pilota molto motivato, ama correre e vuole sempre vincere. Vuole raggiungere i suoi obiettivi ed emergere, non essere uno dei tanti sulla griglia che si accontentano di guidare la loro moto e aspettare di vedere che succede. Ci piace questa sua attitudine. Inoltre è un ragazzo che impara molto in fretta, come si può vedere dalla sua carriera.
MV: Quando mi rivedo in Tv, noto che il mio è uno stile di guida moderno. Freno molto tardi, e riesco a girare bene la moto, in curva riesco a tirarla su piuttosto in fretta, e credo che tutto questo possa funzionare bene in MotoGP. Farò del mio meglio per capire il più in fretta possibile la nuova moto e cosa mi serve per sfuttarne al meglio le caratteristiche per riuscire a migliorare in fretta.
Credo che un’altra mia qualità sia proprio quella di riuscire a capire abbastanza in fretta le moto che guido.
L’Impazienza è una virtù
MV: Credo che la cosa peggiore che posso fare all’esordio in MotoGP sia pretendere di essere competitivo fin dal primo giorno. Se riusciamo a fare un passo alla volta, restando calmi e concentrati, possiamo davvero avviare bene il progetto
DB: Ci piace tutto di lui, la sua attitudine, il suo non essere mai appagato. Se arriva secondo non è felice. Come Suzuki ci attende una grande sfida e un lavoro molto duro, perché dobbiamo recuperare il gap con i team e i piloti di primo piano. Credo che Maverick possa portarci lo spirito che ci serve. Siamo degli sfidanti, prendiamo un rookie e affronteremo insieme questa sfida. E’ un progetto davvero eccitante.
Se io e la moto saremo all’altezza, potremo affrontare battaglie meravigliose. Credo che al momento giusto saremo pronti a lottare con i migliori - Maverick Viñales
